Description

Vintage pilot's helmet with sliding visor. Color is orange-red with blue. This is a U.S. Navy APH-5 (early version) flight helmet. The APH-5 flight helmet was used during the second half of the 1950s by the Navy on several types of aircraft. It was adopted for fleet pilots in1956, replacing the H-4.
This helmet is in overall good condition for its age. Scratching to visor (mostly in the center from sliding back and forth. The inside has deterioration and is very brittle. Refer to photos.
