Original SOUTH PACIFIC 13 3/8" x 27 7/8" movie theater "Daybill" insert poster
THIS ONE HAS A HUGE "R 16" CENSOR RATING SNIPE GLUED ON IT PROBABLY FOR NEW ZEALAND AND THEN TO BE SHIPPED TO OTHER LOCATIONS, ULTRA RARE, VERY KOOL SNIPE. I HAVE HAD THOUSANDS OF AUSTRALIAN AND SOUTH PACIFIC POSTERS. THIS BIG OF A SNIPE IS VERY RARE AND PROBABLY SPECIFICALLY REQUIRED BY NEW ZEALAND CENSORS
I PERSONALLY TOOK THIS FROM THE THEATER WAREHOUSE IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC. AN INTERESTING THING IS I HAVE SEEN WRITTEN ON POSTERS AND IN CORRESPONDENCE DIRECTIONS FOR CENSOR RATINGS IN COUNTRIES THOUSANDS OF MILES APART AND INDICATING THEY WOULD BE USED IN 1 COUNTRY THEN SHIPPED THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY. THIS ONE I KNOW HAS A NEW ZEALAND CENSOR STAMP ON IT, HOWEVER, SEVERAL OTHERS JUST LIKE IT MAY HAVE WENT TO FIJI, GUAM, TAIPEI ETC. I HAVE ALSO GOT THEM IN NEW ZEALAND MARKED FOR CENTRAL AMERICA "MOSQUITO COAST"
NO PIN HOLES, NO TAPE, VERY VERY FINE- NEAR MINT CONDITION, FOLDED AS ISSUED, HOWEVER, THIS POSTER WAS NEVER UNFOLDED UNTIL I TOOK THE PICTURE, STORED AIRTIGHT SINCE DELIVERED TO WAREHOUSE AND AGAIN WHEN I TOOK POSESSION.
