. Fighter Pilot, dedicated to USAF air-to-air superiority mission, did not desire or require a clear lens normally used for
“Strike/Air-to-Ground”
operation(s).

Helmet shell is in exceptional condition, as is leather interior
(NOT A SWEAT STAINED MESS)
, and soft leather edge roll is uncut/damaged.
Helmet shell and dual visor cover, with reflective tape are near mint with minor pecks on visor housing.
Dark visor is particularly good with exception of minor fracture near nose area. These visors are available on EBay. Chinstrap is complete and clean. Helmet lower rear has fighter pilot’s name.
This complete helmet has a unique history; it was issued to a combat hardened fighter interceptor pilot entering a
World Championship Gunnery Meet Competition
and subsequently worn while flying with subsequent fighter squadrons
.
