Korean War Vietnam P4 A Jet Pilot Flight Helmet and Type A-17 boots bag O2 Mask.
Unfortunately, before I got to this helmet, a mouse did. The damage inside isn’t nearly as bad as it could be, in fact the liner is still 80-90% intact, but the oxygen mask is toast. The helmet is Size small, boots appear to be size 8B, whatever B means. Bunyans?
Anyway, I’m not sure exactly what the date of this helmet is. It’s in pretty good condition overall, with the biggest issue being the mouse activity around the edge of the top pad and some of the webbing underneath it. Both ear pads are still secure and in good shape, it still has the coms cord, and the rest of the soft parts are also intact and in good order. The visor has a few marks, but goes up and down just fine. This is a good place to start a collection of early jet era equipment! It looks great on a display head, and the boots are a nice bonus.
