    Description

    This antique Chinese chair is made in elegant Ming style furniture with simple and straight lines. Intricate relief carvings of "flute, cloud and scroll" design decorate the back splat of the chair. The relief carvings of the chair are very delicate and three dimensional. The front opening underneath the seat are carved with unique design. The chair is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure,  which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Made from Zelkova wood with beautiful wood grain, the chair is very solid and has been kept in excellent condition. Original patina and wear. Circa early of 19th century.
